the Cellulose Factory

An old cellulose factory in Skien is redesigned to house Ibsen theater, Skien cultural school and a center for adult learning. The project develops both a temporary and a permanent use of the old factory on the south coast of Norway. The charactheristics of the old factory will be kept to add character to Cellulosen.

The buildings program includes administration offices, facilities for the Department of Music, media library, reading rooms, studios, education rooms, dance facilities, black box, café, gallery and storage rooms.
