mmw architects of norway is participating at the design exhibition 100% Norway in London from September 18.-21. Mmw participates with the inflatable walls “Trollvegg”.
The norwegian design exhibition is a part of London Design Festival.
The inflatable walls is designed by mmw architects and the profile system is made by Frost Products. The company Helly Hansen is the manufacturer of the walls.
Helly Hansen Special products AS was established as its own company in 1995 owned by Helly Hansen ASA. They developed, produced, sold and rented out products based on textiles. Their vision is to take care of people, values and the environment.
Frost Profile is a patent pending aluminium profile system for free standing structures. It was invented in 2004 by Frost Produkt AS and has been developed and used in various projects since then.
Trollvegg is a modular product that you can place anywhere you wish. Near the sea, in your garden or in the woods. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble and you don’t need planning permission as it is a temporary installation. It is produced in Norway.
The inflatable walls were made for the design exhibition ”Beyond Risør” in June 2008, to create space for designers and manufacturers to meet and make new connections. The material is called Urutec and is the same material Helly Hansen use for e.g. their survival suits for the North Sea.
